Moms and Toddlers
18 months - 2.5 years old
Our workshops focus on having fun time with the toddlers while providing them with a range of stimulating activities, both individually and as a group in order to help the toddler explore and experience through touch music and movement. A specially selected educational equipment early childhood stimulation and learning. Age appropriate songs, rhymes, music and rhythms are part of the program, to help the child to gain information about the world through sensory and cognitive stimulation.
The program includes:
Individual exploration time: This is the time for you and your child to explore together age appropriate activities:
- Gross Motors: Kinetic motor skills (movement). This lays the basis for further cognitive and perceptual motor skills which are important part of muscle tone development, co-ordination and core muscles strengthening. A verity of apparatus to aid those skills are available for your child to explore.
- Creative Play: Your child experience different creative processes and tactile stimulation which is important for fine motors stimulation and body awareness. Different techniques of painting, gluing and printing, are a fun and enjoyable way for your child to learn about creativity and self expression.
Group time: You and your child engage in fun learning through dancing, singing and age appropriate focused activities, such as- Perceptual toys, games to encourage association and sequencing and concepts learning. As well as sensory toystfor eye-hand coordination, fine and psychomotor skills.
Free play/ snack time: out door play- time to enjoy free play and social time for both mums and children over a cup of tea and a snack.
Music time: Songs and movements and puppets to enhance sensory input such as rhythm, language, vestibular stimulation and having fun with the parents.
We end with story time.
